“This story invites the world to remember how compassion once flowed across oceans and through pain—and how it still can.”
An Arrow Shot Through Time explores the interconnected tragedies of the Trail of Tears and the Great Hunger, confronting hard truths about colonialism, displacement, and survival. But this is not just about the past—it's about healing. Because when we understand the truth, we open the door to reconciliation.
The impact of the Choctaw gift of 1847 is carried, like an arrow shot through time, into the present day through the deeply personal journey of two remarkable individuals: Choctaw artist Waylon White Deer and Irish human rights activist Don Mullan. For over 35 years, they’ve kept the story of the gift alive, building bridges between nations through art, activism, and friendship. This story invites the world to remember how compassion once flowed across oceans and through pain—and how it still can.
